Melissa & Adam
Melissa and Adam's gorgeous wedding day on July 22, 2017, captured by Kiralee Jones, was bright, fun and full of sparkles – from the bride's shoes, to the bridesmaid dresses, to the sparkler exit! Read on to find out how the couple met, what surprise Melissa had for Adam once the wedding-celebration ended, and why their wedding date means so much to them.
How They Met
Adam and I met on a camping trip. We had a connection right away, but it wasn't until three years later that we reconnected and started dating. After our first date around Christmastime that year, I knew that we were meant be. Unfortunately, Adam was living in Billings at the time, and I was in Kalispell. On Valentine's Day, after driving eight hours in a winter storm to spend the day together, we both knew we had fallen in love. We continued our long-distance relationship for five months, and then Adam moved home to Kalispell, and we've been inseparable ever since.
How He Proposed
At Christmastime when we were dating, we rode the Montana Trolley with our family and friends to see the Christmas lights. We saw house after house lit up with lights. As we pulled up to a white house the song "Cross My Heart" by George Strait came on, and spelled out in Christmas lights on a board on the lawn was "Will you marry me?". Adam then got down on one knee and proposed. As a surprise for Adam, I had that very same trolley pick us up on our wedding night. That trolley will always have a speical place in our hearts!
A Date to Remember
Our actual wedding date was our most special wedding detail. We planned to get married on Adam's grandpa's birthday, July 22. In January 2017, before our wedding, his grandpa passed away. We originally planned it thinking he would still be with us. July 22 will always mean a little more than just our wedding day.
